Akropoli is one of the strongholds that guarded the passes of Corinthia. It lies 54.9 km west of Corinth, roughly 25.2 km from Derveni.

What to expect

Whoever held Corinthia held the way into the Peloponnese, so the region filled with small castles and towers at every critical point. Most survive as ruins standing in open country.
