Kiato is a welcoming seaside town on the Corinthian Gulf and the seat of the Municipality of Sikyona. With its long seafront promenade, cafés and tavernas, it’s perfect for relaxed strolls and local food. It sits in a rich wine-growing area, close to ancient Sikyon and to mountain villages such as Trikala and Lake Doxa.
History and character
In 1913 Kiato was renamed Sikyon, and in 1916 Sikyonia; in 1936 it took back the name Kiato.
