On the heights of southern Corinthia, near the Nemea area, stands the castle of Polyfengo. It is one of the least known forts in the region, and you will rarely meet another visitor there.
The position
The hill commands the valley and controls the routes linking Corinthia with the Argolid — the same pattern that explains every medieval castle in the area.
What you will see
Ruined walls and cisterns on the rock, with open views to the surrounding mountains and vineyards. There is no tourist infrastructure at all.
