Kalamia is the beach of Corinth itself. It lies west of the centre, close enough to walk, and it is where the town meets the Corinthian Gulf.

What you will find

An organised beach with cafes and tavernas along the seafront, a promenade for walking, and a view across to the mountains of the far shore. This is the everyday beach of local people: it fills up in the late afternoon and at weekends.

If you are staying in Corinth, it is the easiest option for a quick swim with no driving involved.

• Within the town of Corinth — walkable from the centre.
• Parking is available along the seafront.
• It faces west, so it is good for sunset.
