High above the Asopos valley, in the hinterland of Sikyon, lies Titane — a site few visitors reach and one that rewards those who do.
What you will see
Ancient Titane was known for its sanctuary of Asklepios, a healing centre serving the region. Today you can see stretches of the acropolis, ancient blocks reused in later buildings, and the small church standing on the ancient site — a picture of continuity very characteristic of the Greek countryside.
The view over the valley and the mountains is among the finest in central Corinthia.
Practical notes
- A mountain drive from Kiato or Sikyon; the road narrows in places.
- No facilities at all — no water, no shade.
- Ideal combined with a tour of the mountain villages of Sikyonia.
