On the steep northern coast of the Perachora peninsula, where the cliffs drop straight into the Corinthian Gulf, lies the Seal Cave.
The name
Names like this were given to sea caves used by the Mediterranean monk seal (Monachus monachus), one of the most endangered marine mammals in the Mediterranean. Similar sites exist all along the Greek coast.
The visit
Access is realistically only from the sea, by boat or kayak and in calm conditions. The surrounding shore is sheer and without facilities.

- On the northern coast of the peninsula, towards Schinos and the Alkyonides.
- Only in calm seas and with a suitable boat.
- If you spot a seal, keep your distance — it is a protected species.
