Corinthia is not only about the sea. To the south and west rise Mount Ziria (Kyllini) and the mountains of Stymfalia and Feneos, with villages above 900 metres. In winter they offer fireplaces, snowy peaks across the valley and a quiet that the coastal towns lack. This list includes villages in our guide with an officially recorded altitude above 900 metres, such as Klimenti, Goura, Xanthochori, Velina and Kaisari. On each page you will find where the village is, how far it is from the main towns and what is worth seeing around it. Before driving up in winter, check the weather and road conditions and carry snow chains. Shops in small villages are not always open every day, so plan your meals ahead.
