Trikala is the best-known mountain destination in Corinthia. Built on the slopes of Ziria (Kyllini) at over 1,000 metres, it is divided into three hamlets — Upper, Middle and Lower — each with its own character.

Stone houses, squares shaded by plane trees, guesthouses and tavernas serving mountain cooking. It is a classic winter destination for Athenians, but equally a summer refuge from the heat — the temperature difference from the coast is striking.
