Pellini carries one of the oldest names in the area: ancient Pellene was an Achaean city-state that controlled the mountain route into the northern Peloponnese. The modern village lies in the same upland zone.

A settlement of stone houses at altitude, looking out to the sea and the surrounding mountains. The area is rich in water and greenery, with cultivation climbing the slopes.
