Where to Stay in Corinthia: Hotels, Villas and Guesthouses

Corinthia offers accommodation for every type of traveller — from large spa hotels in Loutraki to stone guesthouses in the mountains. Here’s how to choose your base depending on what you want to explore.
Loutraki — Best for Beaches and Spa
Loutraki has the most hotel infrastructure in Corinthia, ranging from large resort complexes near the casino to smaller family-run B&Bs close to the waterfront. The main beach hotels are on the north side of town, with the best sea views. Thermal spa treatments are available at the Loutraki Hydrotherapy Centre year-round. Ideal base for those focused on the coast, with easy day trips to Ancient Corinth (20 minutes), Acrocorinth and the Heraion of Perachora.
Prices in Loutraki vary considerably by season. July and August see the highest rates and the lowest availability — book several months ahead. In spring and autumn, rates drop substantially and the town is far more pleasant to be in. Several hotels offer thermal spa packages that include accommodation and treatment sessions, which makes them competitive compared to booking separately.
Corinth City — Best for Archaeology
If you want to be close to Ancient Corinth, Acrocorinth, the Canal and the Museum, stay in or near Corinth city. The choice is smaller than Loutraki but includes some well-located mid-range hotels. The city itself is functional rather than beautiful — it was rebuilt after the 1928 earthquake and lacks the elegance of older Greek towns — but as an efficient base for early-morning visits to the sites, it works well.
The advantage of Corinth over Loutraki: it’s quieter, cheaper, and directly on the main Athens–Patras train line. From the city centre, Ancient Corinth is a 7-minute drive or a short bus ride. Acrocorinth is 10 minutes further. The Corinth Canal is 5 km east. You can cover all three in a single day without getting back in the car more than twice.
Mountain Villages — Best for Nature
For a completely different experience, stay in Trikala Corinthias, Feneos or Stymphalos. Stone guesthouses and agrotourism units offer rooms in a cooler, quieter environment — ideal in summer, when coastal Corinthia can be very hot. Hiking and mountain biking trails start from the doorstep of most properties. Several guesthouses serve local food in the evenings, often from their own gardens.
Trikala has the best range of accommodation in the mountains: a handful of well-run guesthouses with fireplaces, local food and good advice on hiking routes. In winter, those who want to ski and stay in the village without commuting from the coast use Trikala as their base. Rooms are available at very reasonable prices compared to coastal equivalents.
The Corinthian Riviera — Best for Families
Towns like Kiato and Xylokastro along the coastal strip are good choices for families: calm, sheltered beaches with no swell, plenty of accommodation at all price points, and local restaurants that haven’t been softened into tourist versions of themselves. The train runs along the coast here, so you can base yourself in Xylokastro and make a day trip to Ancient Corinth or Nemea without driving.
Booking Tips
Book several months ahead for Loutraki in July and August — it fills fast with Athenians. The rest of the year, availability is excellent and last-minute booking is usually fine. Spring (May–June) and autumn (September–October) offer the best combination of comfortable weather, uncrowded sites and reasonable prices. Most mountain guesthouses operate year-round and welcome direct bookings by phone.
