Zemeno sits on the slopes above Xylokastro, in an area that moves from sea to fir forest remarkably fast. It is one of the villages people head to when they want to escape the heat of the coast within twenty minutes.
What you will find
A square shaded by plane trees, tavernas serving mountain cooking, and paths that start at the village and run into the forest. The views over the gulf from the openings along the road are striking.
