Kalamaki lies right beside the eastern entrance of the Corinth Canal. This is where ships wait their turn to pass through — and watching that from the beach is an unusual sight.

What you will find

An organised beach with tavernas and cafes, shallow water and a broad stretch of sand. It is one of the most convenient swims for anyone staying in Corinth or passing through.

Next door lie Isthmia, with its submersible bridge and the archaeological site of the Sanctuary of Poseidon.

Practical notes

  • .
  • Easy access and parking.
  • Ideal for combining a swim with a visit to the Canal.
