straight-line distances
Diminio beach stretches along the shore of Kato Diminio, two kilometres west of Kiato, on the Corinthian Gulf.
What to expect
A long shore running on towards Kiato, with clear water. What sets it apart is Pefkias: a small pine wood that runs parallel to the beach and gives shade a few metres from the sea. It is thought to have formed, together with the pine wood of Xylokastro, part of a larger forest that once covered the southern shores of the Corinthian Gulf.
Getting there
Two kilometres from the centre of Kiato — close enough to cycle, or to walk along the shore. Kato Diminio has around 1,100 residents, many of them working in tourism.
