visitcorinthia.comDay trips from Corinthia
Corinthia sits at the centre of things. Based here, you can reach some of the most important monuments in Greece within an hour.
Mycenae — ~45 km
The citadel of the Atreids, with the Lion Gate and the great beehive tomb. The Argive Heraion combines easily with it.
Nafplio — ~60 km
The first capital of the modern Greek state: a Venetian old town, Palamidi with its 999 steps, and the Bourtzi in the harbour. The best evening out in the region.
Epidaurus — ~80 km
The ancient theatre with its famous acoustics, and the Asklepieion. In summer it hosts performances — if your dates match, it is worth booking.
Kalavryta & the rack railway — ~110 km
The little train that climbs the Vouraikos gorge from Diakopto — one of the finest rail journeys in Europe. Combine it with the Cave of the Lakes.
Athens — ~85 km
The Acropolis and the museums in a day, back in the evening. See our Corinth guide for a base.
Delphi — ~150 km
Further out, but doable in one full day via the Rio–Antirrio bridge or the E75.
