History and character
Vilia lies near the borders with Arcadia and Achaea, in the northern part of the Feneos basin. In the census of the French scientific Expedition of Morea it is recorded as Viliaes, with 23 families.
After liberation, in 1834, the name was officially spelled “Vyllia”, and it was corrected to “Vilia” in 1940. Today the village belongs, together with Archaia Feneos and Louzi, to the community of Archaia Feneos in the Municipality of Sikyonia.
