Sarantapicho lies 50.3 km west of Corinth, roughly 10.9 km from Derveni.
What to expect
An almost deserted mountain settlement at about 1,220 metres on the slopes of Mount Kyllini, close to the border with Achaea. In 1834 it was the seat of the then municipality of Chelydorea; the 2021 census recorded just one resident. The ruins of the Anagennisis hotel and the site of the old airfield survive nearby.
