What to expect
The village is built in tiers on the north-eastern slopes of Mount Kyllini (Ziria) at about 770 metres and had 208 permanent residents in the 2021 census. Until 1927 it was called Dousia; it was then renamed Zevgalati, and in 1928 Kefalari. In the square, beside the church of Agios Dimitrios, stands a plane tree planted in 1875.
