Corinth is located at the northeastern part of the Peloponnese. It is the capital of the Prefecture of Corinth. It is the third largest city in the Peloponnese Region. In 2011, the merger of five (5) municipalities led to the new Kallikratiko Municipality of Corinth, which is divided into 5 municipal units.
